The number of rabid racoons is on the rise in Charlotte county.
Hilary Howes of the New Brunswick SPCA says you can look for a number of behaviours that may indicate your pet has rabies including foaming at the mouth and aggressive behaviours.
He says right now they really encourage people in Charlotte county to get their animals vaccinated.
Howes says rabies seldom moves east of the Waweig River but it has now so they encourage everyone to vaccinate their cats and dogs.
