Many parents in New Brunswick are concerned their children don’t have the tools and skills needed to make sound financial decisions.
To help parents start the money talk with their kids, the Financial and Consumer Services Commission declared today to be “Talk With Our Kids About Money Day.”
FCNB senior education coordinator Marissa Sollows says talking to kids about money early helps them form responsible financial habits as well as increasing their independence, self confidence, and self sufficiency.
Sollows says FCNB has many ways to help parents and kids, including a youth money management program called “Make It Count.”
