Many are excited to see Partridge Island accessible by road but one local environmentalist is not so keen on the idea. Former Fundy baykeeper David Thompson tells us he favours seasonal access by boat saying a road along the causeway won’t last. He says a road could be destroyed by storms adding in the past there was a road which was damaged by several storms. Thompson suggests access to the island be by boat only and include floating wharves that are attached in the spring and removed in the fall.
