The RCMP is searching for a missing man in the Whites Mountain area of Sussex on Saturday.
Police say 48-year-old David Alexander Mitchell was last seen at a home in the area on Sept. 9, according to a social media post.
He was first reported missing to police on Sept. 25.
The RCMP investigated several leads to try and find him before they first requested information from the public in relation to the search on Sept. 26.
And on Nov. 14, police asked for more details in the case, “even if they seem small,” a news release read.
Supporters held a protest outside of the Hampton RCMP detachment on the weekend of Nov. 23 to bring attention to Mitchell’s disappearance, which police said they are treating as suspicious.
When he disappeared, police described Mitchell as six-feet-two-inches tall, weighing about 200 pounds, with hazel eyes, grey hair and a grey goatee.
Police ask anyone with information related to his whereabouts to contact the police.
