A threat at Fundy Middle and High School in St. George has been determined to be unfounded, according to district staff.
RCMP were called to the school on Mount Pleasant Road on Wednesday morning after graffiti was found inside indicating a threat.
Students and staff were evacuated to an off-site location nearby as officers investigated the threat.
“The RCMP have established the threat was unfounded and confirmed that the school remains safe. They gave the all clear and students are returning to the school,” said an email sent to families around noon on Wednesday.
“Threats and vandalism are unacceptable, and there will be consequences for those involved.”
RCMP posted about a police operation on Mount Pleasant Road just before 11 a.m. Wednesday.
People were asked to avoid the area so officers could do their work.
