October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month in Canada.
In a unique initiative to boost awareness, 15 talented Canadian designers will showcase their creativity by designing eye-catching gowns from bathroom tissue.
The garments will walk the runway on October 30 as part of the 21st annual, Cashmere Collection, where Canadians are encouraged to vote for their favourite dress by tuning into the live stream online.
Among those is Saint John designer Chavah Lindsay, who made her first appearance in 2019, and is the only Atlantic-born designer.
“My mom passed away from cancer so it definitely has a close place in my heart,” said Lindsay.
With each vote cast, Kruger Products will contribute $1 to the Canadian Cancer Society and the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation, aiding their mission in the battle against breast cancer.
