Following an assault involving a weapon in St. George, two teenagers have been charged.
At approximately 8:50 p.m. on September 16, the RCMP responded to an assault report on Portage Street in St. George and found a 43-year-old male victim. He was then transported to the hospital, where his injuries were assessed as serious but not life-threatening.
Shortly after that, authorities identified two youths connected to the case, the first was arrested on September 17, and the second followed suit on September 18.
On September 19, the two suspects faced charges of aggravated assault in the Saint John Provincial Youth Court. They were subsequently released under certain conditions and are scheduled to make a return to court in the future.
