Moonlight Bazaar looks to bring the community together for a night of fun under the planets in uptown Saint John on Saturday.
Jody Kliffer, one of the co-founders, shares that this year’s theme revolves around astrology.
Attendees can look forward to fortune-telling, a variety of food and drink vendors, and surprise performances from bands and artists, all set against the backdrop of a stunning seven-metre inflatable Moon and Mars.
The bazaar starts at 4 p.m. Saturday and ends at 12:30 a.m. Sunday. It’s a free family-friendly event, however you must be 19+ or accompanied by a guardian starting at 5 p.m. when bars open.
Recently, officials revealed that a significant amount of Moonlight Bazaar drink tokens was stolen in a string of break-ins uptown, therefore, they will no longer be accepting the tokens.
To ensure a hassle-free experience, cash, credit and debit card payments directly at the bars will now be accepted.
Flying a drone over large gatherings is prohibited for everyone, even those with drones weighing less than 250 grams unless they possess an advanced license. It’s also advisable to keep pets at home as the environment can become quite crowded and loud.
Kliffer also adds by transforming the uptown area into something unforgettable for one night, it brings communities together while supporting local businesses.
“Vendors, local artists and performers, sometimes regional, Maritime region if we get it, but we are thankful for everyone’s support,” said Kliffer.
