Two people from Charlotte County have been sentenced to prison time in a child pornography investigation.
The 28-year-old man and 27-year-old woman were each handed eight-year prison sentences, police announced on Wednesday.
A publication ban was ordered to protect the identity of the victim, according to the RCMP.
Mounties searched a Charlotte County home in April 2023 and seized several electronic devices.
The man and woman were arrested at the scene and later released pending a future court appearance.
Both were later charged with several offences, including arranging by means of a telecommunication agreement to sexually interfere, sexual interference, making of child pornography and possession of child pornography.
The man was sentenced on May 13 while the woman received her sentence on July 9.
