If you are one of many who have received an email from Ticketmaster, they are the victim of a data breach.
According to a press release, the ticket sales giant says there was “an unauthorized third party obtained information from a cloud database hosted by a third-party data service provider.”
It happened to users in North America between April 2, 2024, and May 18, 2024, and was discovered on May 23.
Ticketmaster says personal information from users may have been affected, like contact and payment information, but they have not seen any additional unauthorized activity since.
They say to monitor your bank accounts for any suspicious activity and that they have been working with law enforcement, credit card companies and banks on the matter.
