Mounties have made an arrest in a series of home improvement scams in Charlotte County dating back to 2021.
Police said they received at least 15 complaints of people being defrauded when trying to contract work for projects.
According to investigators, the homeowners reported paying thousands of dollars upfront for work that was never finished, or in some cases even started.
Mounties say in at least one case, a homeowner lost more than $100,000.
A 31-year-old man from Oak Bay was charged with 14 counts of fraud back in December.
An arrest warrant was issued and he was taken into custody on Friday.
The man remains behind bars and will appear in court at a later date.
