Saint John police have arrested a man after several thousand dollars worth of tools were stolen from a parked vehicle.
Police responded to a report of someone breaking into a vehicle parked outside of a Thorne Avenue business around 1:10 a.m. Sunday.
“Officers arrived on scene and confirmed that the window of a vehicle parked in the parking lot of the business had been broken out and several thousand dollars worth of tools were stolen,” police said in a news release on Monday.
A 37-year-old was arrested and has since been charged with theft from a motor vehicle over $5,000, mischief under $5,000, and possession of stolen property.
The accused remains in custody and has a bail hearing set for Tuesday.
