It seems more of us will be buying something on Black Friday or Cyber Monday this year.
A new Leger survey finds 39 per cent of Canadians plan to make a purchase.
That is up three percentage points from the 36 per cent who bought something last year.
People aged 18 to 54 are more likely to shop than those 55 and older, the survey found.
Most of those who responded (37 per cent) said they plan to spend the same amount as last year.
Around 31 per cent plan to spend less this year while 18 per cent plan on buying more.
Canadians expect to spend an average of $372.60 on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, compared to an average of $713.20 for U.S. residents.
This web survey was conducted from Nov. 17 to 19 with 1,531 Canadians randomly recruited from LEO’s online panel.
