An investigation into threats and a seizure in a New Brunswick community has led to charges.
RCMP has arrested a Dorchester man in connection with uttering threats and assault with a weapon.
The 46-year-old man was taken into custody on October 19th.
The following day, police searched a home where they seized a firearm, knives, ammunition, and a prohibited weapon. Police also seized quantities of what is believed to be cannabis, fentanyl, oxycodone, and contraband cigarettes.
The man is facing charges of :
- Possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of oxycodone for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking
- Uttering threats
- Possession of a firearm while prohibited
- Unlawful possession of a weapon
- Possession of a prohibited weapon
- Impaired operation of a motor vehicle
He was remanded into custody and is scheduled to return to court on November 2.
