A Saint John charity that supports at-risk children is getting a major financial boost.
The Joshua Group received a $10,000 donation from goeasy Ltd. on Thursday.
It will help them buy a new truck and trailer to facilitate grocery deliveries for at-risk children and families.
The donation comes from goeasy Ltd.’s annual DK Johnson Award program.
It provides $10,000 to one easyfinancial or easyhome employee each year, who nominates a local community initiative.
This year’s award recipient was Jennifer Folkins, who manages a Saint John easyfinancial branch. She nominated the Joshua Group to receive the donation.
The Joshua Group is a faith-based charity that provides basic necessities, mentoring and education to Saint John’s poorest, high-risk children to help break the cycle of poverty.
