Mounties are investigating an inmate assault at Atlantic Institution in Renous.
Corrections officials say the incident took place at the maximum-security institution on June 28.
The Correctional Service of Canada says the injured inmate was treated at an outside hospital.
Officials say the suspects have been identified and “appropriate actions” have been taken.
