Police say a St. Stephen man has been arrested after an arson in the community earlier this week.
Emergency crews were called to a boat on fire behind a business on Milltown Boulevard, beside Chocolate Park, around 10:40 p.m. Monday.
“A subsequent investigation determined that the fire was intentionally set, and was deemed an arson,” RCMP said in a news release on Wednesday.
A 41-year-old man was arrested the next day and charged with arson.
He was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in court on April 3.
Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area or may have surveillance footage is asked to contact St. Stephen RCMP at 506-466-7030 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
