Some Saint John drivers who park on the street will need to make other arrangements on Friday night.
The city has declared an overnight parking ban in the south/central peninsula from 11 p.m. Friday until 7 a.m. Saturday.
“This means there is no on-street parking allowed anywhere in the South/Central Peninsula area,” the city said in a news release on Friday.
Any vehicles left on the street after 11 p.m. will be ticketed and possibly towed, according to the city.
Three Saint John Parking lots will be cleared for use by on-street parking residents beginning at 6 p.m. Friday.
They include lots on Peters Street, Vulcan Street, and Sydney Street (Service New Brunswick). A map of those lots can be found here. Vehicles must be removed no later than noon Saturday.
In addition, the Peel Plaza Parking Garage will offer a $5 overnight parking rate from 6 p.m. Friday until 8 a.m. Saturday.
