An all-terrain vehicle believed to be linked to a missing 77-year-old hunter from McAdam has been found.
Mounties said the ATV that Kenneth Snedden was believed to be travelling on was located on Saturday in a marsh area in Dumfries Parish.
“A number of specialized policing services, including Public Safety Police Dog Services and RCMP Police Dog Services, conducted searches of the area in an attempt to locate Kenneth Snedden, but were unsuccessful,” RCMP said in a news release on Monday.
The RCMP helicopter will be in the area on Monday to continue the search, said the release.
Snedden was last seen at a home in the village of McAdam around 1 p.m. on Oct. 28. He left his home with his vehicle and ATV to go hunting but never returned as expected.
Mounties said Snedden’s vehicle was later found on Duck Lake Road but his ATV was not there.
Snedden is described as being about 5’9″ tall, weighing about 175 pounds, with brown eyes, short brown and grey hair and a moustache.
He was last seen wearing an orange hunting hat and vest, a camouflage jacket, jeans, and boots.
