Blake Shelton sold his master recordings earlier this month (Oct. 4) to Influence Media Partners. The deal was dubbed a “groundbreaking deal.”
According to the press release, the deal between Shelton and Influence Media covered all of his releases from 2001 to 2019.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed, but Influence Media recently announced a $750 million fund platform to invest in high-value compositions. To date, they have invested in over 20 catalogs including Blake Shelton’s.
CMT is putting together a star-studded event for Loretta Lynn.
The country legend’s life and career will be celebrated during a public memorial service from Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry on Sunday, Oct. 30.
The late legend’s family along with CMT partnered up for Coal Miner’s Daughter: A Celebration of the Life and Music of Loretta Lynn. The special event that will air live and commercial-free on CMT at 7 p.m. ET.
The tribute will include performances from Brandi Carlile, Crystal Gayle, Darius Rucker, George Strait, Keith Urban, Little Big Town, Tanya Tucker, and Wynonna Judd
Barbara Mandrell, Faith Hill, Martina McBride, and Tim McGraw are also scheduled to appear, with additional performers and guests to be announced in the coming days.
Kelly Clarkson, Kelsea Ballerini, and Carly Pearce will be hitting the stage for the first time to sing together at the CMAs!
All three as we know have been through a divorce but turning all that into a good time in a fun song.
Production sources from the upcoming Country Music Awards tell TMZ the trio is planning a very big and powerful performance of Kelsea’s song “You’re Drunk, Go Home” next month.
The song’s all about female empowerment, about guys who hit on women at bars after they’ve had too much to drink. Both Kelly and Carly were on the song’s original release — and Kelly actually got drunk herself when they got together to record it — so they clearly all have a good time together.
The CMA’s will take place on Nov. 9 in Nashville hosted by Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning.
