The provincial government wants to hear your views on senior care services through an online survey.
It has 14 questions and will be available until October 3rd.
Information from the survey is meant to help the Department of Social Development to change the senior care system.
The main goal is to meet the needs of the province’s growing and aging population by gathering input from all New Brunswickers.
The Department of Social Development oversees nursing homes, adult residential facilities and home support for seniors and people with disabilities.
Programs and facilities in this department provide services to about 22,000 New Brunswickers.
The department has a yearly budget of over $860 million.
Social Development will partner with other departments to ensure the integration of senior care services.
The government’s goal is to strengthen the full continuum of care and make services more accessible by building on past work, such as the Aging in Place framework and recommendations from the Council on Aging.
