A festival is making its return flight in a few weeks.
The 35th annual Atlantic Balloon Fiesta was put on hold for two years due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
However, the event will make its return to the area from Sept. 9 to 11.
Organizers are expecting 26 hot air balloons to rise to the sky.
“There’s been lots of progress made, all the big plans are in place, we’re just getting down to the nitty-gritty,” said Committee Member Alannah Pearson.
Visitors will not have to worry about paying a fee to enter the festival grounds.
“To get on our grounds it’s completely free for spectators, but there are a couple of areas and fee vendors of course that do charge, and it is $260 per person if you are interested in flying in one of our hot air balloons,” mentioned Pearson.
There are also several other activities for visitors to enjoy.
“We will have music starting Friday evening, and all day Saturday and Sunday, we have an indoor market with lots of great crafters inside the arena, all kinds of outdoor vendors, and amusement rides,” said Pearson.
Another event for guests to enjoy is the Car Show and Shine, which is happening Sunday morning.
