The lead up to the Memorial Cup in Saint John will include concerts, street art and a ball hockey tournament.
It starts on June 18th with events which include a legacy mural near the host venue, TD station, and the addition of a new, ball hockey platform.
There will also be an open-air concert at the Area 506 Waterfront Container Village called the Port City Party and a performance by The Strumbellas.
It wraps up with a fireworks display.
“The action on the ice is only part of the plan. We set out to make this the best Memorial Cup event and our intention is to deliver that for the residents of New Brunswick and those that visit Saint John to take in the event,” said Mark-Anthony Ashfield, Host Organizing Committee Chairperson.
On Sunday, June 19th, Saint John welcomes the Memorial Cup with an uptown rally including a parade that will take the Memorial Cup from Long Wharf to the AREA 506 Waterfront Container Village.
Fan Fest runs from June 20th to the 29th in Market Square and includes an exhibit from the Hockey Hall of Fame and a weeklong speakers series.
The AREA 506 Waterfront Container Village will host Bash on the Bay with Big Wreck, Alan Doyle, Classified, Matt Mays, and more.
Performances are scheduled for either before or after game time, with games broadcasted on the big screen for sold out games.
Pass holders for the Memorial Cup will be offered priority admission as space is limited.
General admission access will be offered based on capacity.
On-ice skills sessions will be organized and run by “elite male and female leaders including past and present personalities from the CHL and NHL”.
Registration is open until May 29th and will be first come, first serve.
On Saturday, June 25th, Olympic medalist Curt Harnett will host a bike rodeo and community bike ride.
The public is encouraged to attend to learn new skills, decorate, and tune their bikes for this family-friendly event.

Full tournament Memorial Cup ticket packages counting all eight games plus an if necessary tie-breaker game are available in two tiers priced at $390 and $460 plus applicable taxes and fees.
