One person is dead and two more injured after a car crash near Salisbury on Friday.
RCMP responded to a collision at the intersection of Taylor Road and Route 112 near Salisbury at 1:30 a.m. on April 15.
Officers believe the crash occurred when the driver lost control of the vehicle while travelling northwest, left the road and collided with a power pole. The 28-year-old driver of the vehicle was not injured, but showed signs of impairment.
Police say he refused to submit to a breathalyzer test and was arrested.
David Quinn appeared in front of a Moncton judge on April 19 and faces several charges, including refusal to comply, accident resulting in death and bodily harm and obstruction of a peace officer.
Police say Quinn violated his parole and is now in the custody of Correctional Services of Canada.
He makes his next court appearance on May 16.
An RCMP collision reconstructionist and the New Brunswick Coroner’s office are helping with the ongoing investigation.
