Police in Greater Saint John say they have made a large seizure of drugs as part of an ongoing firearm and drug investigation.
The Saint John and Kennebecasis Regional police forces, with help from Grand Bay-Westfield RCMP, executed three search warrants on Thursday and Friday.
In a news release, Saint John police said officers seized about 1.12 kilograms of what is believed to be methamphetamines, and about 2,240 pills containing what is believed to be isotonitazene.
Earlier this week, officers searched a home on Route 102 in Public Landing as part of the same investigation.
Officers seized a sawed-off shotgun, four rifles, one handgun, three .177 caliber pellet handguns, a scope and suppressor, a large quantity of ammunition, and body armour carriers
Also seized was 56 grams of substances believed to be methamphetamines, score sheets, packaging material, scales, drug paraphernalia, illegal cigarettes, and $2,660 in cash.
Four people have been arrested and remanded into custody. Three are due back in court on Feb. 22 while the fourth has a court appearance set for March 17.
