An overnight parking ban has been declared for the South/Central Peninsula.
The City of Saint John issued the ban after a significant winter storm hit the city.
The temporary overnight on-street parking ban begins on Sunday, January 30, at 11 p.m. and runs until Monday, January 31, at 7 a.m.
Any vehicles remaining on-street after 11 p.m. when a parking ban has been declared will be ticketed and/or towed at the owner’s risk and expense.
Five city owned parking lots will be cleared for use by on-street parking residents beginning at 6 p.m. Sunday.
The Peel Plaza Parking Garage offers a $5.00 overnight parking rate for nights when a parking ban is declared.
This rate is valid only between 6 p.m. and 8 a.m. the following morning.
Regular parking rates will be charged before and after these hours.
