Many businesses chose to proactively close ahead of Saturday’s winter storm.
The region could see more than 40 centimetres of snow before the storm end’s on Sunday.
Ironically, the decision to close their doors for the day comes as many provincial businesses were granted permission to open again when the province returned to Level 2 following a two-week restriction under Level 3.
In Saint John, the City Market is closed and Saint John Transit decided to cancel service for the day.
McAllister Place announced on Saturday morning it also decided to close.
