After lots of anticipation, skaters will now be able to hit the ice on Lily Lake in Rockwood Park.
The city announced Tuesday that the ice is now thick enough to allow for public skating and ice maintenance.
“The recent cold temperatures allowed for City crews to work hard over the weekend to prepare Lily Lake ice surface by plowing the snow and flooding the surface for great skating conditions,” said a news release.
Users are asked to heed any warning signs as certain areas may not always be safe for skating.
You will also have to follow a number of public health guidelines due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
That includes wearing masks at all times and skating in a clockwise pattern.
