The wallets of Canada’s highest-paid CEOs have not been hard hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a new report.
The Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives has found the country’s 100 highest-paid CEOs earned an average of $10.9 million in 2020.
That’s $95,000 more than what they were paid in 2019.
The CEOs were paid 191 times more than the average worker. Only four were women.
The report says it would take the average worker the entire year to match what those CEOs made by lunchtime on January 4th, the first official working day of the year.
