Truck drivers will have to be vaccinated by the middle of the month to enter Canada.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is mandating for international transport truck drivers to be vaccinated by Jan.15 when crossing Canadian land borders.
If Canadian drivers don’t have their shots, they’ll have to quarantine for 14 days upon arrival, if they aren’t Canadian they’ll be turned away at the border. This could lead to supply chain delays
The Biden administration is looking to have large trucking companies to mandate vaccines for drivers, or to submit weekly testing.
More than $433 billion in goods is traded between Canada and the U-S via roads.
The federal policy will come into effect January 15th.
