A special weather statement remains in effect for much of southern New Brunswick.
Environment Canada is forecasting a brief period of snow Wednesday before a changeover to rain.
Some inland areas could even see an extended period of freezing rain during the switch.
A bit more snow is expected overnight Wednesday night before the precipitation tapers off from west to east.
Meanwhile, snowfall and winter storm warnings are in place for central and northern New Brunswick, where up to 30 centimetres of snow could fall in some areas.
Several hours of freezing rain is also possible for places like Fredericton, Woodstock, Stanley, Doaktown, and Blackville.
Once this storm system moves out, clear conditions are expected through the Christmas period.
