Josh Turner has wanted to record a Christmas album almost as long as he’s been on country radio. This year he celebrated two decades in country music, and for the first time since “Long Black Train” became his breakthrough hit in 2004, Turner found time to do it.
“King Size Manger,” available now, is a collection of traditional country versions of classic Christmas songs mixed with some original tunes, Hawaiian and bluegrass.
Brad Paisley will slide into the host seat on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”
The Dec. 29 episode marks his first time hosting the Emmy-winning show.
Guests on Paisley’s episode include Cary Elwes (“A Castle for Christmas”) of “The Princess Bride” fame and Tori Kelly (“Sing 2” and children’s book, “The Curly Girl Blues”) are the featured guests.
Paisley will also showcase 11-year-old singer and guitar player Champ Jaxon.
Ahead of The Voice season finale on Tuesday night, Carrie Underwood and John Legend covered Blake Shelton’s “Austin.”
The song was first recorded for Blake Shelton’s self-titled, debut album in 2001. It was his first single and the first #1 of his career!
