New Brunswick Public Health reported 52 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday.
Among the new cases are 27 in the Moncton region, nine in the Saint John area, eight in the Fredericton region, and eight in the Miramichi zone.
Of the new cases, 65 per cent are unvaccinated, two per cent are partially vaccinated, and 33 per cent are fully vaccinated.
Officials also reported 33 new recoveries as the number of active cases climbed to 523.
That includes 218 cases in the Moncton region, 100 in the Miramichi zone, 99 in the Saint John area, and 63 in the Fredericton region.
Sixteen people are receiving treatment in hospital, including 10 who require intensive care.
Of those in the hospital, 13 are unvaccinated and three are fully vaccinated.
86.1 per cent of the eligible population is fully vaccinated, 92.9 per cent have received one dose of vaccine.
Meantime, the province also reported the rollout of booster doses of the COVID-19 vaccine has been completed for residents at New Brunswick nursing homes.
The process continues at adult residential facilities, with 82 per cent complete. The rest of those facilities will be done by the end of the month.
