Forty-seven people living in an apartment complex for seniors in Miramichi were evacuated because of a fire on Sunday.
No one was hurt in the fire at Tweedie Manor.
Volunteers with the Red Cross have provided 45 residents with help in finding a place to stay and something to eat.
The assistance will continue until they can return home.
