New Brunswick reported 10 new cases of COVD-19 on Wednesday.
There are four new cases in Zone 1, the Moncton region:
- a person 19 and under;
- a person 30-39;
- a person 40-49; and
- a person 50-59.
One case is a contact of a previously confirmed case and three are under investigation.
There are two cases in Zone 2, the Saint John region:
- a person 30-39; and
- a person 40-49.
One case is a contact of a previously confirmed case, and one is travel-related.
The one case in Zone 3, the Fredericton region, is a person 50-59 who was a contact of a previously confirmed case.
The two cases in Zone 6, the Bathurst region, are two people 20-29 and are both contacts of previously confirmed cases.
The one case in Zone 7, the Miramichi region, is a person 50-59 and the case is under investigation.
13 individuals have recovered from the virus since Tuesday, lowering the active case count to 164. The province continues to report three hospitalizations related to COVID-19.
As of August 25, 74.1% of New Brunswickers age 12 and older are fully vaccinated and 83.9% have received their first jab.
