Campbellton RCMP are investigating a suspicious death in the city on Tuesday morning.
Around 6:30 a.m., police were told about a person lying on the ground next to a Tingley Crescent home.
A man’s body was found when officers arrived at the scene. His identity is not being revealed by police at this time.
More than an hour later at 7:50 a.m., police learned of a second man in the parking lot of Sugarloaf Senior High School.
The 48-year-old man was taken into custody while police determine his involvement in the first incident.
RCMP Police Dog Services, Forensic Identification Services and other specialized policing services may be assisting with the investigation.
Investigators with the RCMP Major Crime Unit want to hear from anyone with information on this matter.
