A 32-year-old man is facing several charges including forcible confinement and dangerous driving after a crash on the weekend which closed the Harbour Bridge in Saint John for two hours.
Police were called to the uptown area around noon on Saturday where a woman was in distress inside a vehicle.
As police arrived, the driver fled and crashed a short time later on the Harbour Bridge. No one was seriously hurt.
Robert Eriksen was charged during a court appearance on Monday in Saint John.
He’s also been charged with assault, failing to stop for police and possession of stolen property.
Eriksen is scheduled to return to court on Thursday for a bail hearing.
