A Saint John courtroom will be the venue for an upcoming coroner’s inquest into the 2016 workplace death of William Gregg.
Gregg died in February of 2016, as the result of injuries sustained while working at the Irving sawmill in Sussex.
Three days have been set aside in July for the inquest where presiding coroner Steve Gibson and a jury will publicly hear evidence from witnesses in order to determine the facts surrounding Gregg’s death.
The jury will have the opportunity to make recommendations aimed at preventing deaths under similar circumstances in the future.
