Janice Leahy has been appointed as the acting Auditor General of New Brunswick.
Leahy will fill in while an independent process selects a replacement for Kim Adair-MacPherson, who left for a similar post in Nova Scotia.
Adair-MacPherson was appointed to serve for a decade and her term was extended in June 2020.
Janice Leahy has served as the deputy auditor general since 2011 and brings with her 28 years of experience in public accounting.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of New Brunswick, a Chartered Professional Accountant designation, a Chartered Accountant designation and a Certified Internal Auditor designation.
