Parliament Hill remains abuzz after someone leaked an image of a naked Liberal MP on Wednesday during a virtual parliamentary session.
Government House leader Pablo Rodriguez wants an investigation and calls the act potentially “criminal.”
William Amos, who represents the Quebec riding of Pontiac, appeared on screen au naturel during the session.
The private virtual feed could only be seen by MP’s and House of Commons staff.
Amos has apologized for the incident and said he mistakenly left his camera on while changing into work clothes after going for a jog.
Government Whip Mark Holland stated on Twitter that the Bloc Québécois and NDP Whips told him their offices were not responsible.
Holland noted the images shared were posted by Postmedia and Sun Media.
It is forbidden to share video or images from any non-public portions of proceedings in Parliament.
Rodriguez wants the speaker to investigate to find out who leaked the image so the House can decide the appropriate action to take.
