Another person in New Brunswick has died as a result of COVID-19.
Public Health reported today they are from Zone 4, which is the Edmundston region, and they are in their 60’s.
That brings the total number of deaths to 32.
Eight new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the province on Friday.
One is in Zone one, which is the Moncton region. They are in their 50’s and the case is under investigation.
There is one case in Zone 3, which is the Fredericton region. They are in their 40’s, and the case is travel related.
The remaining six cases are in the Edmundston region, which is Zone 4.
- an individual 19 and under;
- an individual 20-29;
- an individual 30-39;
- an individual 40-49;
- an individual 60-69; and
- an individual 80-89.
Of the six cases, three are under investigation and three are contacts of a previously confirmed case.
The number of active cases in New Brunswick is 140, and 13 people have recovered since Thursday.
Nineteen patients are now in hospital, including 13 in intensive care.
Public Health also confirmed a positive case of COVID-19 at Garderie des P’tits Amis in Edmundston. Those who have been in close contact have been notified.
