A former Liberal health minister and MLA is looking to become a councillor in Quispamsis.
Mary Schryer says she decided to run because of her strong belief in giving back to the community.
“I believe that strong municipal representation cannot be overstated and I want bring my experience and ideas to the council chambers,” Schryer said.
Schryer said she committed to learning and hearing plans to ensure the environment is protected and enjoyed for future generations.
Determining how the town can deliver the things people want and things the town needs in the most efficient and affordable way is also critical, she said.
Voters will cast their ballots on May 10.
