The executive director of the Saint John Tool Library is looking to try his hand at municipal politics.
Brent Harris has put his name forward for councillor-at-large in the May 10 election.
The housing advocate said he has a lot of action and experience that he can bring to the table.
Harris said some of the topics he would like to focus on include healthy neighbourhood development, environmental action, and lobbying for municipal reforms.
Others include a living wage for all city staff, access to safe cycling in the city, and housing reform.
Harris previously ran for the Green Party in Saint John Harbour during last fall’s provincial election.
