New Brunswick businesses can apply for rebates on projects meant to improve their energy efficiency.
NB Power announced it had received funding from the federal government to reimburse 25 per cent of projects that improve energy efficiency including upgrades and installations of new equipment.
The program is funded through the government’s Low Carbon Economy Leadership Fund.
A release from NB Power said upgrades including lighting and lighting controls, compressed air, and HVAC upgrades would qualify for the rebate.
“Energy efficiency upgrades for businesses result in time and cost savings towards ongoing maintenance, create an improved working environment and help reduce greenhouse gas emissions,” the release states.
Businesses can register for the program online at savenergynb.ca to apply for pre-approval for potential upgrades before making the purchase.
