It’s a big day in Washington DC as both the Senate and House of Representatives are set to meet and confirm the results of November’s Presidential election.
It’s usually just a ceremonial event to officially count the electoral college votes, though many Republicans are planning on trying once again to fight the results which saw President-Elect Joe Biden defeat President Donald Trump.
They’re following the lead of President Trump, who still claims that he won despite no evidence to back that up.
Trump has also called on Vice President Mike Pence to reject the results, something Pence has no power to do.
Inauguration Day for both President-Elect Joe Biden and Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris is set for January 20th.
