Ringing in the new year often comes with a resolution.
Have you decided to add more exercise into your routine?
Head of Fitness Excellence at Planet Fitness, Teddy Savage, says you should set realistic goals.
“The best thing to do to stay motivated is to take one step at a time. We all have lofty goals, and it is important to set those lofty goals, but I also want you to celebrate the benchmarks along the way,” he says.
Savage says something as small as just waking up everyday and getting into an exercise routine is something to celebrate.
He adds it doesn’t take much time in your day, to get an effective workout.
“We believe that every minute you invest in your fitness and wellness is mighty. As a matter of fact, we call them might minutes. So if it is 15, 20 to 30 minutes that you can fit into your daily routine, that is quite enough,” he says.
Savage says if you consistently do that over time, it will give you results that you are looking for.
“As we affirm what we are going to do to get better through the year 2021, I want everyone to understand, the small victories are just as celebratory worthy as the big goal once you hit it,” Savage says.
