The community of Tantramar is encouraging everyone in Atlantic Canada to come together tonight.
Co-Chair of the Tantramar COVID-19 task force Carolle de Ste-Croix says step on your doorstep and make a joyful noise, “This has been a really challenging year for everyone in really unexpected ways. We just want to invite everyone to take that moment to join together as a show of support.”
She suggest joining your neighbours near and far at 7 o’clock tonight, “Ring a bell, bang on some pots and pans, use a musical instrument, and fill the air on December 24th at 7pm for ten minutes with the sounds of life, joy and unity. Especially for those who are isolated during this really difficult holiday season.”
De Ste-Croix also asks that you share your joy with friends and family, on social media by using #JoyfulNoiseAtlantic on your post.
“The Tantramar region is the ideal place to launch this initiative as it is located in southeastern New Brunswick on the border with Nova Scotia, and is home to the Chignecto
Isthmus and the entryway to the Confederation Bridge,” de Ste-Croix says.
De Ste-Croix also encourages everyone to use light, with candles or flashlights, because of the darkness many people have felt, “Our goal is to have sound and light will ring out across New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador.
Invite your friends!-Joignez-vous à nous!
