New Brunswick Public Health has announced the first 1,950 doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine arrived at the Miramichi Regional Hospital earlier today.
Priority groups will be the first to receive the shots this weekend at an immunization clinic at the hospital.
Meantime, one new case of COVID-19 has been reported in the province today.

Officials say the individual is in their 40s from the Edmundston Zone 4 region and they are said to be self-isolating.
The case is under investigation.
Zone 4 remains in the Orange level of pandemic recovery while all other zones in New Brunswick remain at the Yellow level.
The number of active COVID-19 cases is 47.
Three patients are hospitalized of which two are in intensive care.
