The first shipment of the new Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine is expected to arrive in New Brunswick on Tuesday.
The Department of Health says a vaccination clinic is scheduled at the Miramichi Regional Hospital this weekend – on December 19 and 20.
The clinic for the second dose of the vaccine is scheduled for January 9 and 10.
Like the other Atlantic provinces, New Brunswick will be getting 1,950 doses.
The priority groups getting the shot first include health care workers and nursing home residents.
Provincial EMO director Greg MacCallum, who is leading the vaccine rollout, said this is the first step in a program of regular deliveries going forward.
