A recent poll shows many Canadians will be doing their shopping online for Black Friday this year.
Black Friday is traditionally one of the busiest shopping days of the holiday season.
But a recent survey by RetailMeNot.ca found 39 per cent of Canadians say they will be shopping online this year. Only nine per cent said they will shop in-store.
As to what they will be buying this year on Black Friday, 45 per cent of women say they plan to do their holiday shopping, 37 per cent of men will spend their money on electronics instead.
The survey also found a drastic change in spending with 69 per cent planning to spend under $100. Last year, only 10 per cent said they would be spending the same amount.
RetailMeNot.ca has this advice: look for promo codes when you are doing online shopping.
Plan ahead and make a list to avoid impulse purchases and set a budget.
